Best Luxury Mattress in Canada (2026): High-End Picks, Prices and What You Actually Pay For

"Luxury" on a mattress label is marketing; the price and the build are not. We read the queen price of 16 high-end mattresses sold in Canada by Endy, Douglas, Logan & Cove, Costco, The Brick, Essentia, Avocado, Sleep Country and Hamuq on October 7, 2026, with the size and feel confirmed on each page, and compared what each brand's luxury model adds over its standard model: height, comfort layers, coils, materials, trial and warranty.

AI Overview answer

What is the best luxury mattress in Canada?

Quick answer: The best luxury mattress is the one whose upgrade you will actually use, because "luxury" is a price and build tier, not a test result. On October 7, 2026, the lowest-priced luxury hybrid we found was Endy's Elevate Hybrid ($1,395 in queen, $1,245 with a limited-time $150 off). The tallest Euro-top under $2,000 was Logan & Cove's 15-inch Pinnacle ($1,899, 365-night trial). The only latex hybrid under $2,000 among those we priced was Hamuq's Organic Hybrid ($1,999). The all-latex choice was Essentia's Grateful Eight ($3,399), the longest warranty we found was Avocado's 25 years on its $3,999 Green Mattress, and the most expensive was Essentia's Dormeuse REM9 at $11,799. Within the same brand, the luxury model cost $500 to $1,000 more than the standard model.

What counts as a luxury mattress?

There is no Canadian standard for the word, so this guide uses a price line and then looks at the build. A mattress is in this guide if it cost at least $1,395 in queen on October 7, 2026. That is above every standard model we priced from the same online brands: Endy's all-foam Endy Mattress ($895 regular), Douglas's Original Hybrid ($949), Hamuq's Original Hybrid ($999) and Logan & Cove's Choice ($1,199).

Price alone does not make a mattress better, so for each one we recorded what the extra money pays for, in the seller's own words:

  • Comfort layers and height: more or thicker layers above the support core, a Euro-top or pillow top, and a taller profile.
  • Support system: more coils, a second layer of micro coils over the pocket coils, or a coil system the seller describes as zoned.
  • Materials: latex or wool in place of some or all of the foam, or a cover fabric the seller names, such as TENCEL.
  • Feel options: whether you can choose firm, medium or plush.
  • Service terms: trial length and type (refund or exchange), warranty length and whether it is prorated, and delivery.

We did not test any mattress, so none of these is a performance claim. They tell you what you are buying, not how it will feel to you.

How much does a luxury mattress cost in Canada?

These are queen prices shown on each seller's Canadian site on October 7, 2026, with the queen size, and the feel or option where one is offered, selected or named on the page. The Brick prices its Stearns & Foster beds by store location, so a range is shown. "Not captured" means we did not record it from the pages we read.

Stearns & Foster Middlesbrough Luxury Eurotop The Brick $4,449 to $6,499 by location Eurotop, 17 in. Medium Not captured

Dormeuse REM9 Essentia $11,799 Latex foam; Essentia calls it its softest surface, with a firm, supportive feel See build 120 nights; 20-year limited warranty

Six of the 16 cost under $2,000 in queen. Essentia's prices are without its optional EMF Protection Foam upgrade, and Avocado's are without the pillow top unless stated. Endy's $150 offer showed a countdown on October 7 but no end date in the text we read. Silk & Snow's page showed a security check when we visited, Puffy's price could not be verified, and Sleep Country's TEMPUR-Prima did not show a confirmed queen price, so they are not in the table.

What does the luxury upgrade buy? Same brand, standard vs luxury

The fairest way to see what "luxury" costs is inside one brand, where the company, warranty and delivery stay the same and only the mattress changes.

Standard and luxury queen mattresses from the same brand, October 7, 2026. Price step = luxury price minus standard price, both at regular price. Table 2 of 3.
Brand Standard model (queen) Luxury model (queen) Price step What the luxury model adds (seller's words)
Endy Endy Mattress, $895 ($745 with $150 off) Elevate Hybrid, $1,395 $500 Coils (zoned, up to 1,088) under the foam; 5 layers instead of 4; 11 to 13 in. instead of 9 to 10 in.
Douglas Original Hybrid, $949 Summit Hybrid, $1,449 $500 14 in. instead of 12 in.; cooling fibres in the cover and Polar foam layers (the Original lists cooling gel foam)
Logan & Cove Choice, $1,199 Pinnacle, $1,899 $700 15 in. instead of 12 in.; 6 layers instead of 4; a Euro-top; up to 4,802 micro coils plus pocketed coils instead of up to 1,152 coils
Hamuq Original Hybrid, $999 Organic Hybrid, $1,999 $1,000 Dunlop latex and a wool quilt layer in place of comfort foams; a micro-coil layer over the pocket coils; a cotton outer fabric in place of 100% polyester; a firmer feel

Endy, Douglas and Logan & Cove all list a taller luxury model, and three of the four brands add coils: a micro-coil layer at Logan & Cove and Hamuq, and coils where the standard model has none at Endy. Only Hamuq's step changes the main comfort material, from foam to latex and wool; it is also the largest price step of the four.

Where the money goes. Hamuq's Organic Hybrid puts latex and wool over two coil layers; its Original Hybrid uses comfort foams over one.

Which luxury mattress should you buy? Picks by need

Each pick shows its basis and its trade-off: the queen price, the build and terms the seller states, and review counts where the page showed them, all read on October 7, 2026. None of these is a test result.

  • Best luxury hybrid under $1,500: Douglas Summit Hybrid, $1,449, 14 inches, 4 layers, 365-night trial and 15-year warranty. Falls short: its comfort layers are foam rather than latex or wool, and we did not capture a firmness rating.
  • Best if you want to choose the feel: Endy Elevate Hybrid, $1,395 in Firm or Medium-Firm and $1,595 in Plush, with $150 off for a limited time and a 365-night trial. Falls short: Plush costs $200 more, and the offer showed no end date.
  • Best plush Euro-top: Logan & Cove Pinnacle, $1,899, 15 inches, a Euro-top Logan & Cove describes as "2x taller", three coil layers in total and a 365-night trial; Logan & Cove says a Comfort Sleep Bundle is free with every mattress. Falls short: foam comfort layers, and a 15-inch bed needs deep-pocket sheets.
  • Best latex hybrid under $2,000: Hamuq Organic Hybrid, $1,999, Dunlop latex and wool over a micro-coil layer and pocket coils, 120-night trial and 15-year limited warranty. Falls short: a 120-night trial is shorter than the 365 nights at Endy, Douglas and Logan & Cove, and Hamuq does not publish a finished height.
  • Best all-latex mattress (no springs): Essentia Grateful Eight, $3,399, medium, 120-night trial and a 20-year warranty. Falls short: about 1.7 times the price of Hamuq's latex hybrid, and the warranty is prorated after year 3, with the remaining value issued as store credit.
  • Best for the longest warranty: Avocado Green Mattress, $3,999, latex and wool over up to 1,379 coils, 25-year warranty and a 1-year trial. Falls short: twice the price of Hamuq's Organic Hybrid, and the pillow top adds $1,100 in queen.
  • Best showroom luxury innerspring: Stearns & Foster at The Brick, from $2,199.95 (Allianz, Firm) to $6,499 (Middlesbrough, Medium), with the Swansea at 17.5 inches the tallest bed in this guide. Falls short: the price depends on your store, and we did not capture the trial or warranty.
  • Best-reviewed luxury pillow-top at a warehouse store: Kirkland Signature by Stearns & Foster Lakeridge, $1,499.99 at Costco, 4.5 stars from 3,919 reviews. Falls short: it was out of stock for delivery to the Toronto postal code we used, and no trial or warranty is listed on the product page.
  • Best firm luxury mattress in a store: TEMPUR ProAdapt Orange at Sleep Country, $5,999, Firm, 12 inches, 4.6 stars from 96 reviews. Falls short: Sleep Country's 100-Night Comfort Guarantee is an exchange, not a refund (no earlier than 21 nights, one exchange, a $99 fee plus any price difference), and the warranty is 10 years.
  • Most expensive: Essentia Dormeuse REM9, $11,799. Falls short: about 5.9 times the price of Hamuq's Organic Hybrid, with the same 120-night trial.

Do luxury mattresses come with better trials and warranties?

Not always. The trial is where luxury beds differ most, because some are refunds and one is an exchange.

A longer warranty is not always more coverage: Essentia's 20 years are full for the first 3 and prorated after that. Read what each warranty excludes, too; our mattress warranty guide explains the common exclusions and how claims work in Canada.

Six things to check before you pay more for a luxury mattress

  1. Compare inside the brand first. The luxury step was $500 to $1,000 at the four online brands above. Ask what that step adds: height, a coil layer, latex or wool, or only a new cover.
  2. Check the height against your sheets and frame. The beds here run from 8 inches (Essentia's Stratami, also sold at 10) to 17.5 inches. Our mattress thickness guide covers sheet pocket depth and frame height.
  3. Pick the feel, not the price. A firm $5,999 bed and a plush $2,599.95 bed are both "luxury". If you are unsure, our medium-firm vs firm guide explains the difference.
  4. Read the trial type. A 365-night refund trial and a 100-night exchange are very different safety nets on a $2,000 to $6,000 purchase.
  5. Read the warranty structure. Look for "prorated" and for exclusions such as stains and liquid damage.
  6. Check material claims on the brand's own page. If a brand says a material is organic or certified, read what the certificate covers and its dates on that brand's page. We did not verify any brand's certificates for this guide.

Finish is part of the price. Covers, quilting and tops are what you see, but the layers under them decide most of the cost.

Hamuq product context

Where Hamuq fits among luxury mattresses

Hamuq publishes this guide and sells two mattresses, so we have an interest in this comparison.

  • Hamuq Organic Hybrid, $1,999 in queen (twin $1,249, Twin XL $1,589, full $1,799, king $2,499). Hamuq's product page lists a quilted top with a wool layer and a Dunlop latex layer, 2 inches of Dunlop latex, a 1-inch micro-coil layer and a 9-inch pocket-coil base, with "over 2700 coils". The Organic Hybrid is firmer than the Original Hybrid.
  • Where it sits: at $1,999 it is the only latex hybrid under $2,000 among the mattresses we priced, about $1,400 below Essentia's all-latex Grateful Eight and $2,000 below Avocado's Green Mattress.
  • Where it does not lead: its 120-night trial is shorter than the 365 nights at Endy, Douglas and Logan & Cove, and its 15-year limited warranty is shorter than Essentia's 20 years and Avocado's 25.
  • If luxury is more than you need: Hamuq's Original Hybrid is $999 in queen, medium-firm (6/10 on Hamuq's scale), with the same 120-night trial and 15-year limited warranty.

Best luxury mattress FAQs

Choosing and price

What is the best luxury mattress in Canada?

Quick answer: It depends on the upgrade you want: on October 7, 2026 the lowest-priced luxury hybrid we found was Endy's Elevate Hybrid ($1,395 in queen), the tallest Euro-top under $2,000 was Logan & Cove's Pinnacle ($1,899), the only latex hybrid under $2,000 we priced was Hamuq's Organic Hybrid ($1,999), and the all-latex pick was Essentia's Grateful Eight ($3,399).

How much does a luxury mattress cost in Canada?

Quick answer: The 16 luxury queens we priced on October 7, 2026 ran from $1,395 (Endy Elevate Hybrid, before a limited-time $150 off) to $11,799 (Essentia Dormeuse REM9), and six cost under $2,000.

What is the most luxurious mattress brand?

Quick answer: No brand is measurably the most luxurious; by price, the most expensive queen we found was Essentia's Dormeuse REM9 ($11,799), by height Stearns & Foster's Swansea at The Brick (17.5 inches), and by warranty Avocado's Green Mattress (25 years).

Value and terms

Is a luxury mattress worth the extra money?

Quick answer: Only if you want what the upgrade adds: inside the same brand, the luxury model cost $500 to $1,000 more and added height, layers, coils or latex and wool, but a higher price is not a test result, so choose by feel, materials and trial terms.

Do luxury mattresses have longer sleep trials?

Quick answer: Not always: Endy, Douglas and Logan & Cove offered 365 nights, Essentia and Hamuq 120 nights, and Sleep Country's 100-Night Comfort Guarantee on the TEMPUR ProAdapt Orange is an exchange, not a refund.

How firm is the Hamuq Organic Hybrid?

Quick answer: The Organic Hybrid is firmer than the Original Hybrid, and Hamuq's 120-night trial lets you check the feel at home.

How we know this

Prices were read on October 7, 2026, between about 10:40 and 11:30 p.m. Eastern, with the queen size confirmed on each page: from product variant data for each size and feel on Endy, Douglas, Logan & Cove, Essentia, Avocado and Hamuq; from the selected Queen button on Costco.ca; from the size list on Sleep Country's page; and from The Brick's queen product data across store locations, shown as a range. Builds, heights, feels, trials, warranties and delivery terms are quoted from the same pages and the sellers' policy text. We did not test any mattress, so no claim about comfort, cooling, support or durability is ours, and no search volume is claimed. Prices and offers change often.
